long life batteries for domestic or high power use were inevitable

those specs are good, there will be better ones in development as well

domestic cars are beyond the early adopter and first gen stage

it looks as though the EV mass market is following the horse to ice timeline fairly closely

if EV has about a third of new sales now, in a decade ice will be a "hobby" rather than transport

ice based real estate might be the new equestrian properties, good hard standing forecourt, bunded fuelling area, workshop and garaging for 6 "horses" etc

a strange sideways thought, rare early ice advertising and point of sale items are daftly priced by collectors and decorators.
ditto the vehicles (although i have concerns about long term storage of current battery tech)

fill a shed with early EV ephemera for the Great grandkids might be a very good long term investment

free or silly cheap stuff now, silly money on salvage hunters 2124, if 2124 has such things

All of the above are the more important points, but Even just centralizing the burning of a fossil fuel has lots of advantages, efficiency, pollution, noise, etc

A huge side bonus is that if the grid (and micro local) can be rebuilt to cope with the transport demand, it can be upgraded to total energy for industrial and domestic as humanity goes to full clean leccy and hangs on to daring do and forlorn hopes re is it too late

Just read some research showing that the Chinese car market has gone from 40% to 57% Chinese brands in the last couple of years. As I said above the Western companies really need to be thinking carefully about their own futures when fighting against EVs.

It's not vapour, it's coming in a few months. It's enough to turn a 250 mile EV into a cheaper, lighter, more efficient 300 mile EV.

the last part is where "green"tech that is cheaper and better can end fossil remove their profits by outcompeting them seems a reasonable strategy, they will not be stopped by polite requests for billions of very good reasons make their products redundant and they will have no market for fossil energy
